Responsible Stewardship

Akoustis is committed to responsible stewardship of our environment and is focused on continual improvement through a variety of programs that target the health of the environment and our planet and its natural resources. Akoustis supports a growing number of initiatives and programs that support a green work environment and challenge our supply chain partners to support similar goals. We aspire to improve sustainability by minimizing our natural resource consumption, and by reducing waste and increasing reuse and recycling programs.

Our culture is built upon continual improvement, and we will endeavor to search for and implement new technologies and tools to reduce our environmental impact as we grow our business and will encourage our partners and suppliers to do the same.”

Environmental Targets/Goals

Reduce Pollution

Our New York facility is working to adopt a zero-emissions policy. We are working with the local and state governments of New York to adopt policies consistent with the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association.

Lower Carbon Footprint

By manufacturing our products in the United States, from raw materials to finished filters, and limiting the number of overseas suppliers, we have a reduced carbon impact.

Increase Recycling/Reuse

We are implementing programs to reduce both consumer waste through personal recycling and production waste to improve the impact of production materials on the environment.

New Technology Adoption

We are continually seeking new technologies to reduce our environmental impact including efficient LED lighting, (& etc.)

Renewable Energy

We plan to increase our sourcing of energy from renewable sources including wind, solar and geothermal energies.

Employee Awareness

We have implemented training to encourage employees to focus on these three areas:

Conserving energy, water, raw materials and other natural resources
Managing materials and wastes properly
Complying with environmental permits and health and safety requirements

Reduced Product Impact

We develop products that are more efficient and use less power than legacy technologies.

Supply Chain Partners

We plan to work with our supply chain partners to adopt our policies or similar policies that will have a positive impact on the environment
